Session Highlights

January 12

9:30-11:00am: The Under the Radar symposium features multiple National Theater Project connections: two former NTP grantees (Taylor Mac and Kanezaa Schaal), a current finalist (Sunny Jain), and a former NTP Advisor (Edgar Miramontes).

10:15am – 11:15am | Drom, 85 Avenue A: Adrienne Petrillo, Senior Program Director, New England Presenting and Touring & Center Stage, will participate in a panel with fellow U.S. regional arts organizations to share about funding opportunities available for presenters and artists working in global music. This session takes place during the globalFEST Wavelengths Conference. Registration is required.

January 13

9:30-11:00am, Hilton: The APAP Honors Award Ceremony will include an award to Lisa Booth Management, Inc. (LBMI), a longtime NEFA colleague and partner who serves as general manager for NEFA’s Center Stage program.

January 14

8:30am – 9:30am: New England Presenters consortium meeting. New England-based presenters are welcome to join colleagues in discussing potential projects for block booking and applications to NEFA’s NEST 3 program. NEFA staff will be available to answer questions. You do not need to be a member of New England Presenters, but only representatives from presenting organizations should attend. This meeting is not open to agents, managers, or artists.

4pm–5pm |  Concourse A: Join Senior Program Director, Dance, Indira Goodwine-Josias along with Alejandra Duque Cifuentes, ADC Consulting for Presenting Dance: Findings of the 2023 Jacob’s Pillow National Dance Presenters Forum. Over the course of 2023, National Dance Presenters Forum partners and eighteen dance presenters from across the country gathered and discussed the shifting nature of dance presenting, touring and the needs of artists post-pandemic; the role they play as curators/programmers/advocates; and the lessons they have learned.  Join us to learn about some of their findings and plans for the 2024 National Dance Presenters Forum. The National Dance Presenters Forum is a partnership between Jacob’s Pillow, New England Foundation for the Arts, Dance/USA, and the Association of Performing Arts Professionals.

6:30pm, Lincoln Center: Deirdre Valent, Lisa Booth, and Adrienne Petrillo will receive the Impact Award from globalFEST. This award is presented to a professional (artist, group, organization, theater/venue/festival, or any member of the performing arts community) living or working substantially in the USA, at any stage in their career, who has earned respect and praise from the global music community for their outstanding commitment to the field. Congratulations to all this year’s awardees – Martha Redbone & Aaron Whitby, Claudia Norman, and Bob Boilen.
