Arts presenters and curatorial staff considering NTP projects are eligible to apply for travel support to see the project. Additionally, NTP Creation and Touring Grant recipients may apply for travel funds for themselves or invite others to apply for the purpose of promoting, publicizing, or otherwise advancing their NTP funded project. This could include, but is not limited to, travelling to meet potential presenters and curatorial staff, bringing in press or critics to review NTP funded work, or travel to conferences and convenings. Please contact NTP if you have any questions about eligibility.
Grants reimburse up to 70% of total expenses, including mileage, economy class transportation, meals, lodging, admission, and, where applicable, conference or showcase registration fees. In general, grants range from $700-$1,000, but there is no funding maximum. Grantees are expected to complete an evaluation within one month of viewing the project. We strongly recommend that you contact the artist either before or when you attend the performance.
All grantees will be reimbursed for up to 70% of airfare, lodging, and any other travel expenses. Additionally, grantees may choose to submit itemized receipts for meals and incidental expenses, or to accept a flat rate per-diem, which varies in amount based on travel destination. Up-to-date per diem rates can be found at: https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates
