In this new role, Saejin Yoo (Say-gin You) will support two national initiatives in partnership with the other five Regional Arts Organizations. These new programs will support nonprofit organizations engaged in arts programming that uplifts underserved communities, especially communities of color, and will feature cohort building and learning.
Prior to joining NEFA, Saejin served as a special project coordinator the Social Innovations Forum where she designed and launched the Social Innovator Fund, promoting and directing gifts to local, grassroots organizations, and led a nation-wide cohort of leaders in exploring place-based intermediary work. As a co-founder and manager of a small, female-owned business, she was involved in all aspects of recruiting, relationship building, and sales. Earlier internships with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra and with the Boston University Arts Lab in project management and community engagement enabled her to develop relationships in the local arts community.
Saejin holds a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Music from the Boston University School of Fine Arts. She resides in Boston.
