In this project, Molly Gilbert and Zahra A. Belyea will facilitate a series of workshops with young women from five BPS high schools and local community activists and elders who have previously worked with Dr. Mary Driscoll and On With Living and Learning. These workshops will focus on leadership skills, playwriting, voice work, and ensemble building and will culminate in a theatrical production based on the experiences of the participants. This project strives to continue to add the female voice to the body of art produced by youth and community members in response to the impact that the multi-dimensional face of violence has had on them and on their communities.
