“Moving, Together” is a community-centered dance residency produced by FirstWorks that will culminate in a live performance, “Movement Mural,” at the Providence Public Library in 2027. The project will invite older adults to collaborate as performers and co-creators through a four-week series of adaptive dance workshops and a live public performance. Led by professional dance artists and wellness practitioners Chloe Carlson (CT) and Lea D’Arminio (RI), the residency will explore movement as an expressive art form shaped by lived experience.
