Pioneer Valley Jazz Shares will present composer, saxophonist, and bandleader Jason Robinson's Blue Salience: for Yusef Lateef, a large-scale work inspired by and dedicated to the late Dr. Yusef Lateef. Performed by Robinson's 17-piece Janus Orchestra, the project will celebrate Lateef's musical legacy through a public concert, an artist interview, and a tribute at the New England Peace Pagoda. The engagement will also include a video recording of the performance to preserve and expand public access to the project.
