Worcester Green Corps

The Worcester Green Corps Catch Basin Mural Project uses public art to connect environmental awareness with community pride. In partnership with Worcester’s Sewer Division and lead artist Sharinna Travieso, local artists design and paint murals on storm drains across the city. Each piece features creative, culturally resonant imagery reminding residents that “Drains Lead to the River,” preventing litter and pollution from reaching local waterways. This next phase will expand the project into underrepresented neighborhoods, engaging both youth and residents in workshops that explore environmental justice, water access, and creative expression in shared public space.
