The Center for Arts at the Armory

<p><span style="font-size: medium; font-family: -webkit-standard; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Center for Arts at the Armory will present Djékady in a full-band concert as part of the Spotlight Series, featuring music from the ensemble’s debut album </span><em style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Benkan</em><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: medium; font-family: -webkit-standard;">. In addition to the performance, Djékady will lead a workshop with the Somerville High School orchestra program focused on learning by ear, improvisation, and West African repertoire. The engagement highlights Malian musical traditions alongside American folk and contemporary styles, strengthening connections between artists, students, and community audiences.</span></p>
