Biography

Emma Sheridan joined NEFA in 2026 as Grants Coordinator and Co-Accessibility Coordinator. In this role, Emma partners with the New England Presenting and Touring team and the Technology and Data team to support NEFA’s portfolio of regional grant programs, assist constituents, and work with staff to execute events and initiatives. The grants coordinator is a key contributor in promoting, evaluating, and enhancing NEFA’s commitments to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in program and grantmaking practices.

Emma has several years of experience in nonprofit grant administration and program management, with a strong focus on advancing equity and accessibility. She previously served as Program Coordinator at Preserve Rhode Island, where she helped expand and streamline grantmaking processes while partnering closely with museums, arts organizations, and community stakeholders to support historic preservation efforts. Her professional background also spans project management, arts venue operations, hands-on preservation work, and community advocacy. She continues her commitment to community-centered work as a board member of Revive the Roots and ecoRI News.

Emma holds a B.A. in Communications and Political Science from the University of Rhode Island and lives in Northampton, Massachusetts.
