<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">FirstWorks returns to Providence’s Roger Williams Park for the sixth iteration of our “Summer Beats” concert series. In collaboration with our regional tour partners, FirstWorks will present The William Cepeda &amp; Elio Villafranca Sextet: Merging Roots, with Afro-Rican Jazz pioneer William Cepeda and award-winning Cuban pianist, Elio Villafranca. Having brought Cepeda to Providence in 2022, FirstWorks is excited to re-connect our audiences with him as he collaborates with Villafranca, offering a vibrant, cross-cultural soundscape that celebrates the power of music to transcend borders. Beyond the performance, the artists will lead a Creative Conversation on the history of African musical influence on their cultures.</span></p>
