Mayo Street Arts will present a performance of Tholpavakoothu's Ramayana, an abridged, one-hour tale told in this traditional puppet form from Kerala, India. In addition to the performance, a 12th generation puppeteer will provide a lecture/demo of Tholpavakoothu based on his current PhD studies. As they listen, attendees will enjoy food from Kerala state as another sensory inroad to experiencing his culture.
