Center for the Arts

<p>The Center for the Arts will bring Windborne, a vocal ensemble, to perform a concert for the community and lead a workshop with students designed to develop healthy vocal technique and harmony with 4-part arrangements, including English and American songs of social struggle, Corsican, Occitan, Lithuanian, Basque traditions, and more. All songs will be taught by ear, no sight reading required, just enthusiasm and willingness to try new things! This workshop offers an opportunity to learn music and improve vocal skills. The Windborne singers will tell stories about the music and explain the characteristics and stylistic elements of the different traditions. In addition, Windborne will perform a concert for the community that evening, incorporating all these learned techniques and more.</p>
