We are delighted to announce 12 new artist recipients of the New England Dance Fund in the third round of funding.

Piloted in 2016, the New England Dance Fund makes direct grants up to $1,000 to choreographers living and working within the six New England states. The grants are designed to support a range of critical opportunities that will advance choreographers’ careers in dance. Funds support research, documentation, professional development opportunities, trainings, and more. The New England Dance Fund is made possible with the support of the Aliad Fund at the Boston Foundation.

Now in its second year, the Fund will distribute $25,000 to New England choreographers through two application rounds. NEFA awarded the first round of 2017 grants to the following artists:

  • Barbie Diewald, Northampton, MA
  • Betsy Miller, Salem, MA
