Seven Years of CreativeGround

CreativeGround logo has circles that make up a plane of ground over the name.

The CreativeGround team is incredibly grateful to the users and stakeholders of CreativeGround. We cherish our New England artists, cultural councils, museums, creative businesses, and the numerous types of creative economy players  - whether you have been involved with the platform for seven years, or created a user account and profile seven seconds ago. Thank you for being with us through seven years of this journey so far. You matter. The work you do is important, especially now. The CreativeGround team is grateful to be here with you.

Year seven was a year unlike any other. Because of the necessary shift to online activity, we saw a major increase in site traffic starting in April, with many new and returning users searching the site, updating profiles, and creating new profiles. We had our highest record of new profiles in a one week period - over 100! We attended and presented at virtual events in lieu of in-person events. We hired a new team member, lost her to another job in the creative economy, and put out the call again. And we worked diligently with our web developers to make sure the upcoming upgraded site serves you well. Of course, as with all plans this year, the timeline has had to be adjusted - we are currently aiming for a Summer 2021 relaunch. We welcome you to continue to reach out with feedback. And we invite you to keep tabs on the latest dirt by checking out the CreativeGround Newspage for the most recent updates.

Itching to dig in?

CreativeGround team is looking forward to Year Eight bringing us closer with the humans that make up the creative economy of New England.
