Biography

Kelsey Colcord Spitalny (Kel-see Call-Cord Spuh-taal-nee) joined NEFA in November 2012 as a Program Coordinator for Center Stage, a cultural diplomacy initiative with the U.S. Department of which brought hundreds of performing artists from seventeen countries to the U.S. to engage with communities throughout the nation. She worked on the Center Stage program for all eight seasons through its completion in 2025, ending her work as a Program Manager. 

As of June 2026, Kelsey serves as Senior Manager, Organizational Impact. In this role she partners closely with NEFA leadership to advance the implementation of NEFA’s Strategic Plan, collaborating with all staff across program and operations teams to uplift the impact of NEFA’s work.  

Originally from Barrington, NH, Kelsey is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design and holds a BFA in Art History. Her prior work experience includes working as Program Assistant and Coordinator for Boston Ballet’s Summer Dance Program and a Project Manager at the art consulting firm Boston Art Inc.  

Kelsey works remotely and lives in Brooklin, Maine with her husband and two sons.
