Grants

For artists

  • Enable artists to create projects of all disciplines that take place in the public realm in the city of Boston and that integrate public participation into the artistic process and/or presentation.
  • NDP Production Grants fund the creation and U.S. touring of new dance works. Grants are highly competitive and are awarded to approximately 20 projects annually.
  • Enhances partnerships between artists and residency sites to prepare new works for touring.
  • The New England Dance Fund awards small, catalytic grants to New England-based choreographers of all genres and backgrounds who identify a critical opportunity that will significantly advance their career in dance.

Programs

  • Creative City grants enable artists to create projects of all disciplines that take place in the public realm in the city of Boston and that integrate public participation into the artistic process and/or presentation.

  • Expeditions grants support New England nonprofit organizations to plan and implement tours of high-quality arts projects involving New England, national, and international artists. 

  • The National Dance Project (NDP) supports the creation and U.S. touring of new dance works through grants and professional development opportunities for artists and organizations.

  • The Regional Dance Development Initiative (RDDI) provides professional growth for dance artists in regions across the U.S. through a 10-day “dance lab” designed to refine work, hone public presentation skills, and strengthen partnerships between artists and presenters.

  • New England States Touring (NEST) provides support to New England-based nonprofit organizations for public presentations and activities by New England artists listed on the CreativeGround directory.
