White Bird Uncaged will present three performances of Urban Bush Women, April 9-11, 2014 at the 880-seat Newmark Theatre. The program will include the new work "Walking with 'Trane", a music and movement journey inspired by the making and music of jazz legend John Coltrane's "A Love Supreme." There will be at least one dance workshop plus a community performance at Portland middle school as well as community forum in Portland's African American neighborhood.
