University of Minnesota, Northrop Dance Series

University of Minnesota—Northrop will present Caleb Teicher’s Swing Out . Company artists will join the Northrop community for an extended period of engagement activities with audience and students on and off campus in discussions and workshops. Activities will enhance and illuminate the concepts and ideas explored in Teicher’s choreographic work celebrating the history and tradition of America’s original partnered dance form—the Lindy Hop. The 70-minute production will bring the best of swing dance to the concert dance stage with a cast of 12 of the finest Lindy Hop dancers in the world, and the live music of Eyal Vilner’s 10-piece big band.
