All events take place on the San Juan College campus in a fully equipped theatre. Presented as a dramatic musical work with a cast of eight actor-musicians, "Bone Hill: The Concert" is inspired by Martha Redbone's family history in the Appalachian Mountains. The regional area maintains numerous families from larger metro areas who are used to access to local and regional music companies and enjoy attending family and world music performances. Performance groups of this style are openly received in the community as it fits both the family entertainment style and the unique world music artistic aspects of performance art.
