Choreographer and Artistic Director Rachael Gnatowski will develop and present her first sensory-friendly adaptation of "The Fantastic Toyshop", an original ballet produced by New England Ballet Theatre. The December 2025 performance will be designed for neurodivergent audiences and families with sensory sensitivities, featuring adjusted sound, lighting, and audience expectations. It will also include dancers from NEBT’s Bridges to Ballet, an adaptive dance program for students with disabilities, marking a first-time inclusive cast. With support from the New England Dance Fund, Rachael will revise choreography, work with accessibility consultants, and lead her team in reimagining ballet as a more welcoming and representative art form for the New England community.
