Quick Center for the Arts

The Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University will present nora chipaumire's new opera, NEHANDA, on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 6 p.m. after a weeklong residency. This performance will be the first of its kind with the artists performing the entire five hour opera in one evening. In addition to the presentation of the work, nora chipaumire will lead a seminar with Fairfield University students and faculty as well as the general public to provide access to a working rehearsal and provide more context to the work in preparation for experiencing the evening-length opera. Following the performance the Quick will also host a lobby in the reception to allow the audience time to gather and talk about the experience and to meet and greet with the artists.
