Puppet Showplace Theater

Puppet Showplace Theater will present "Tricyckle," the latest show by Quebecois puppetry company Les Sages Fous for primarily adult and teen audiences in December, 2023. Co-produced with Norway’s Nordland Visual Theatre, "Tricyckle" is a wordless journey through a dreamlike world in which a scrap-collector negotiates the intersections between his memory and his imagination. A solo performer travels with his titular tricycle as if on a fairground ride, coming upon abandoned objects and materials that he transforms into puppets to perform vignettes which offer glimpses into this enigmatic hero's past. Les Sages Fous is renowned internationally for its exploratory and innovative use of recycled materials to produce not only puppets, but also scenographic elements, lighting rigs, and even music (this show features a soundtrack produced using entirely found objects). Prominent amongst performing artists in Quebec, will only be their second time sharing their visions with Boston audiences.
