Northrop will present Kinetic Light's "Territory" in the fall of 2026, the virtual reality adaptation of an aerial dance performance that explores the narratives of barbed wire through the lens of race, gender, and disability. VR technology transforms the performance into an interactive environment that enhances accessibility, featuring multitrack audio descriptions, haptic feedback, and creative captioning. Northrop will present the VR installation to engage and educate our community, partnering with community organizations and campus groups. Through a virtual artist talk and guided sessions, we will promote discussion and contemplation about the installation's themes, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive space and atmosphere for everyone.
