Next Stage Arts will present Kimaya Diggs as part of our Singer-Songwriter Series, in a twin bill with a beloved Southeastern Vermont vocalist. As an organization committed to supporting artists developing and performing new work, we are proud to bring Kimaya to Vermont just weeks after her Green album release concert with our partners at Bombyx in Northampton, MA. The evening will feature music from the new album alongside selections from her broader repertoire, bringing together soul, R&B, folk, and indie rock in a performance rooted in New England's sense of place. In addition to the public concert, Diggs will lead a mini-performance and co-writing workshop with the Brattleboro Senior Center during their daily lunch hour — working with participants on creative writing and lyric writing activities, and reminding us all that we can be creative and expressive at every age.
