Newport Contemporary Ballet will present Connecticut-based choreographer Alison Cook Beatty at the Newport Dance Festival, themed around the Four Freedoms in honor of the nation's 250th anniversary. Beatty will perform original works exploring freedom, justice, and human connection through contemporary dance. The engagement will include three evening performances, free bilingual youth workshops with the MLK Community Center, all-ages movement classes, free pop-up performances, and artist conversations.
