Dance for the Diaspora (D4D) is a multi-day social practice performance celebrating the multidisciplinary arts and cultural lineages of the African diaspora. Co-produced by the Museum of African American History and The Haus of Glitter Dance Company, D4D transforms historic Boston spaces into sites of collective remembrance, joy, and healing. The social practice performance invites more than 50 local and national artists, activists, culture bearers, and elders to lead free and low-cost workshops, performances, and community dialogues rooted in dance, music, wellness, and storytelling. Centering care and connection, D4D cultivates belonging and creative freedom across New England’s diverse communities.
