Mayo Street Arts will present Sofie Krog Teater for a weeklong residency as part of the 2026 Puppets in Portland festival. The residency will include two performances of The House, a comically chilling puppetry work that takes audiences inside the Warehouse Family Funeral Home as a family secret unravels and an evil plan is formed. The performance features a complex revolving puppet set with intricate lighting, strange contraptions, and sound effects. The engagement will also include a conversation about international puppetry at the Portland Museum of Art and participation in the festival’s late-night puppet slam.
