Live Arts Miami

Company Stefanie Batten Bland is an invited guest artist to the Artistry In Rhythm (AIR) festival, an annual dance conference held at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. Invited by Live Arts Miami and the Miami Dade College Kendall Dance Program, Company SBB will introduce immersive theatre trainings to the Miami community. Stefanie will show video of the work "Embarqued: Stories of Soil," and discuss how to adapt a stage work into an immersive settings. The second part of the trip is site-visit oriented to explore spaces for a potential immersive projects in 2025/26. In this immersive experience, we will have a room or section entitled Embarqued, centered around voyage, textile and tactile audience interactions. This site-based iteration will be housed within a larger work that Company SBB hopes to tour in forthcoming seasons.
