Litchfield Jazz Camp will welcome acclaimed bassist and educator Avery Sharpe as a Master Teacher and featured performer during its 30th anniversary season. Sharpe will perform in the Jazz After Work Concert Series and the Litchfield Jazz Festival, including the festival's opening night with the Litchfield Jazz Camp Dectet. During his two-week residency, he will teach combo performance, bass masterclasses, private lessons, theory, and composition, and moderate a Special Topics panel exploring the history of jazz in America and its African American roots.
