National Dance Project Production Grant

Parts 2 and 3 in a suite of feminist dances by drag/bio-fem Cherdonna hyperbolize the normal humiliations of human existence. Part 2: Clock That Mug or Dusted focuses on the body as a canvas for social change. Cherdonna performs a live work of art with paint, objects, and cake. Part 3: Kissing Like Babies explores the infantilization of the feminine, the conundrum of being, the amazing circumstance that we exist, the tie from birth to death and back again with the help of drag queen Cherdonna, a chorus of adult toddlers, and a seven piece brass marching band.  Parts can be presented in tandem or individually. Estimated artist fee: $7,000/performance, $12,000/week
