Janelle Gilchrist

<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">With the support of NEFA’s Dance Fund grant, the Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe (“JGDT”) will hold a Choreographer’s Showcase at the Cambridge Foundry on July 18, 2026. The showcase will feature the creations of nine choreographers from the Greater Boston area. This is a unique opportunity for freelance choreographers and dancers, who do not usually have opportunities to showcase their work to an audience, to have a platform for their art. Additionally, JGDT’s Main Company (composed of professional dancers) and Community Ensemble (composed of recreational adult ballet dancers) will perform a piece choreographed by Gilchrist. Each piece will be approximately ten minutes long.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">This performance will enable local choreographers and dancers to feel the power of connecting others through their artistic expressions. In line with this theme, each piece will center around inner strength and power.</span></p>
