GALA Hispanic Theatre is pleased to present dancer/choreographer Yvonne Montoya and her company in an original dance production of “Stories from Home” Saturday, October 28 at 8pm and Sunday, October 29 at 3pm. 'Stories from Home’ caps a month of innovative dance works, anchored by our annual Fuego Flamenco Festival, in its 19th year.
A panel discussion with take place after the Sunday performance. Additional engagements such as a presentation and panel discussion with Q&A will take place at the Washington Hebrew Congregation (WHC), one of the largest Reform congregations in the U.S. with more than 2,000 members. We are reaching out to Liz Lerman, founder and Artistic Director of the Dance Exchange (and member of WHC) in Takoma Park to propose a workshop, as well as the University of Maryland to present a lecture demonstration at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park.
