The Dancing Wheels Company, America's first physically integrated dance company, and choreographer Mark Tomasic will be creating a new work that is of increasing concern in society today: the journey of dementia and its toll on the caregivers. Mark's firsthand knowledge of the topic, as well as personal accounts of people living with similar situations and Dancing Wheels' unique artistry, will lend to a poignant and emotional experience for audience members.
This work will be developed on the land of the “Hopewell,” “Whittlesey Tradition,” Kaskaskia, Shawnee, Wyandotte, Ottawa, Seneca, Delaware, Miami, Sac, Kickapoo, Fox or Meskwaki, Cat or Erie, and “Assistaeronon” or “Fire Nation.”
Estimated Artist Fee: $4,000/performance or $23,500/week long residency.
