The Boston-based ensemble, led by balafon master Balla Kouyaté with cellist Mike Block, brings Malian music into conversation with American folk and other contemporary styles. The engagement will include an instrument demonstration and rhythm workshop introducing audiences to the cultural instruments and rhythms featured in the performance.</span></p>
