The Colonial Theatre will present Italian vocalist Maria Mazzotta as part of a regional New England tour. A leading interpreter of Southern Italian pizzica (taranta) traditions, Mazzotta blends Mediterranean and Balkan folk forms with contemporary arrangements. In addition to the public performance, the engagement will include a post-show conversation and community dialogue, offering audiences opportunities to deepen their understanding of Mazzotta’s work and its cultural traditions.
