Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) will present the NY Premiere of Let the Crows Come choreographed and conceived by Ashwini Ramaswamy for three performances on April 8-10, 2020 in the Jerome Robbins Theater. Ramaswamy is joined onstage by dancers Alanna Morris-Van Tassel and Berit Ahlgren. Composers Jace Clayton (aka dj/rupture) and Brent Arnold extrapolate from Prema Ramamurthy’s classical Carnatic (South Indian) score, utilizing centuries-old compositional structures as the point of departure for their sonic explorations.
Let The Crows Come was partly developed at Baryshnikov Arts Center during Ashwini Ramaswamy’s BAC Space Residency from October 29 to November 17, 2018.
