<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">Addressing a critical need for cultural preservation and intergenerational knowledge transfer, this project will advance artist Assitan “Sita” Coulibaly’s organizational leadership through specialized mentorship in grant writing and fundraising. This strategic professional development is a pivotal step toward securing foundational support for the “Return to Mali” Cultural Immersion Initiative, a residency designed to provide a cohort of Descendant community members with an ancestral homecoming. By building a sustainable funding model, this effort will foster a national movement and ensure enduring access to Afro-diasporic cultural heritage. A grant award will not only empower an artist-leader but will catalyze a powerful and enduring platform for cultural exchange and transformative community connection.</span></p>
