<p><span style="font-size: 14px;">Wendy Jehlen will travel to Gallaudet University for a 12-day residency where she will workshop a new iteration of The Women Gather, a movement-based and community-engaged performance project by and for women that has been evolving since 2020. incorporating two Deaf ensemble members, Monique Holt (MoMo) and Alexandria Wailes, explore the embodiment of voice from culturally Deaf perspectives. Culminating in a fully immersive movement opera, a ritual of healing. This residency builds on a series of seven to date performances and workshops that continuously layer on new voices and perspectives about what it means to be a woman. The next residency will take place in December 2025 in Cotonou, Benin as part of Festival Connexion.</span></p>
