651 ARTS presents Exit/Exist, a personal reflection on history and heritage. Choreographer/dancer Gregory Maqoma weaves together the story of his Xhosa roots and South African Politics in a contemporary dance performance that explores the complexities of identity. Theatrical in style, Maqoma incorporates a live musical ensemble into the performance as he tells his story as a descendant of the great Xhosa chief, Jongumsobomvu Maqoma.
