Theater in the Park is an evening of free outdoor theater at Mozart Park, in the heart of Jamaica Plain. During 3 weeks in July, Escena Latina Teatro (ELT) will present plays in Spanish and English, with translations via supertitles, and facilitate bilingual workshops about the theater-making process. ELT, a volunteer-run community theatre, was founded in 1992 by a group of young actors from various Latin American countries with the goal to produce affordable quality theatre in Spanish and make it accessible to a diverse audience. Hyde Jackson Square Main Street has been a collaborator with ELT for 3 prior years.
