Make the Match. Book the performance!
MatchBook.org endeavors to strengthen the creative industry by more efficiently linking artists in New England with the theaters, community centers, libraries, spiritual centers, schools, festivals, museums, galleries and coffeehouses that hire them to provide cultural programming in their communities.
MatchBook.org enables artists to post and maintain their information online, with features like streaming video and audio samples. Presenters use the site to locate appropriate artists, view work samples, and contact the artists they find. Both artists and presenters have access to technical assistance such as how to document their work, find funding sources or get tips on writing a contract.
There are currently over 330 performing artists eligible for NEFA’s New England States Touring program who are included in MatchBook.org’s searchable directory. The site is also available to any New England–based performing artist who chooses to register and create a profile.

MatchBook.org was constructed in tandem with NEFA’s CultureCount, New England Cultural Database, an online data warehouse of financial, demographic, contact and other information related to businesses, organizations and individuals within New England’s creative economy. The two sites are linked entities, each enhancing the other through shared data sources and tools.
MatchBook.org is a public service provided by New England Foundation for the Arts and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, in partnership with the state arts agencies of Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Funding for the creation of MatchBook.org was provided by:
Technology Opportunities Program - National Telecommunications and Information Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce
The Boston Foundation
The Davis Family Foundation
