BUNKER is a site-responsive, solo dance theater performance following Q.S., a starling sheltering in a survival bunker, surrounded by the photos, videos, documents, and artifacts they carried underground. Each object unlocks a memory, weaving a tale of a family's 1961 migration to Los Angeles, featuring archival media from the choreographer's own family archive. Set against accelerating environmental and political upheaval, the work sits with an urgent prompt: how do we preserve Sanctuary when it is on fire, literally and figuratively, all around us? How do we teach each other to archive, digitize, decentralize, connect, and prepare for what comes next?

Caretakers of Land/Land Acknowledgement: I live and work on the unceded lands of the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples, the traditional caretakers of Tovaangar.
