Biography

Iva Brito is a healing-centered leader, licensed social worker, educator, expressive artist, poet, and founder of Soul Calling Retreats and Iva Brito Consultancy. Through culturally grounded, trauma-informed experiences, she partners with communities and organizations to foster wellness, creativity, belonging, and transformational change. 

With a Master's degree in Education and advanced graduate studies in Expressive Arts, Iva brings more than two decades of experience designing and facilitating innovative programs that bridge public health, education, the arts, and community engagement. She spent over a decade at Bristol Community College, serving as an adjunct faculty member and the founding Director of the Women's Center, where she championed equity, leadership, and opportunity for historically marginalized communities. 

An accomplished visual and performing artist and author of Essence, Tones, Whispers, and Shouts, Iva believes healing is both a personal journey and a collective responsibility. Her work integrates expressive arts, cultural traditions, mindfulness, and nature-based practices to create spaces where individuals, organizations, and communities can reconnect, restore, and thrive.
