New Work New England Application Questions

In addition to the application narrative questions below, the New Work New England application requires details about the project budget.

  1. Please describe the proposed new work including your artistic vision and how it relates to your artistic practice. (3,600 characters) 

  2. How does this work contribute to the cultural and aesthetic diversities available to New England audiences and communities through content, relevance, artists and others involved in the development of the proposed new work? (For NEFA's value statement around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, click here.)  (2,000 characters) 

  3. Describe the new work's current stage of development, and your strategies and timeline to advance this work during the grant period (April 1, 2022 – September 30, 2023). (3,500 characters) 

  4. Describe the New England audiences and communities you want to reach during the development process and the activities you will offer to meaningfully engage with them. (2,000 characters) 

  5. Please share your vision and strategies for sharing the proposed new work with multiple New England communities. Presenting partners or community hosts do not need to be confirmed at this time, but please include any likely partners.
