West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts

A live and digital celebration of Abenaki culture featuring traditional drumming, singing, history, storytelling, and art. Multidisciplinary artists from Nulhegan Abenaki Drum will share their heritage and talent during family picnic day. Guided by Vera Longtoe Sheehan and Chief Don Stevens families will have the opportunity dive into the music making practice along with drummers and singers from across the many regions of the Abenaki homeland. The drummer groups include family groups and friends keeping the tradition of authentic Abenaki drumming and singing alive and well.
