Our Land…Nossa Communidade is a mobile art center inspired by traditional vegetable carts, story carts, and agricultural stewardship in Boston’s Dudley Square. Through her cart Baring-Gould shares historic archives about land use; images explore Native American traditions, colonial settlement, agricultural innovation, immigration/urbanization, red-lining, community land trusts and urban agricultural programs. Traveling to community events along Dudley Street this summer and fall, Baring-Gould and her cart invite residents to tell stories and make colorful prints using local produce, celebrating what Dudley neighbors grow.
