In partnership with the Joyce Theater in New York City, Indigenous Enterprise presents INDIGENOUS LIBERATION, an intertribal multimedia dance showcase featuring songs and dances from all over Turtle Island. Led by champion Fancy Dancer Kenneth Shirley (NBC's World of Dance), this new work will highlight traditional pow wow categories such as Fancy War Dance (Ponca), Jingle Dress (Ojibwa), Hoop (Taos Pueblo), Chicken (Blackfoot), Northern Traditional (Lakota), Fancy Shawl (Ponca), and Grass Dance (Omaha). Indigenous Liberation will share the healing spirit each song and dance holds and will invite people to see and understand Native people in ways they haven't before.
Indigenous Enterprise is located on the land of the Navajo Nation.
