Public Enemy, Philadelphia-based community dance project by choreographer Iquail Shaheed, explores Black male identity and social issues disproportionately affecting Black men, particularly policing, incarceration, and racialized violence. The project culminates as an evening-length work that includes a run of stage performances and an extensive social practice with returned/returning citizens that also engages black youth in Mantua, West Philadelphia.
Estimated Artist Fee: Estimates do not include housing. $23,500/performance; $35,000/week.
