Baye & Asa

Using the Riddle of the Sphinx as an allegorical structure, Baye & Asa reflect on humanity’s industrial history and grapple with our collective search for blame. The piece is divided into three sections for three generations of performers. 

4 | 2 | 3 was co-commissioned by Baryshnikov Arts and the American Dance Festival with support from the Doris Duke/SHS Foundations Award for New Works, The National Dance Project Production Grant, New York State Council on the Arts, Harkness Promise Award, Jody and John Arnhold, and Henry Elliman.
