You are invited to join local host Ann Brusky of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Simone Ferro, M.F.A., GL-CMA, Department of Dance, Chair at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with the staff of the National Dance Project from the New England Foundation for the Arts for an afternoon of conversation and community building centered around the state of Dance in Wisconsin.

The gathering will also provide opportunities to connect with dance community members from Wisconsin, learn more about local resources, and engage in a conversation with NEFA about dance programs and grant opportunities, which emphasize dance production and touring. Additionally visitors from around the U.S. involved in supporting dance in their own communities will be in attendance to learn about Wisconsin dance, and offer connections and learnings from their own locations.

Light refreshments will be provided. This is event is free to attend, we ask that you register to attend so we may continue the relationship beyond this afternoon.

General Notes

Legal identification (ID) is not required to attend the event. Restrooms in the building are gender specific.

Mobility Access

An elevator will be needed to access the meeting space for those using mobility devices. Elevator access is located at the Downer Avenue entrance. There will be accessible restrooms.

Parking

The parking at the Student Union is recommended for attendees; there are additional parking lots in the area, and all lots have accessible parking. Hourly metered parking is also available. More info at https://apps.uwm.edu/map/locations/1981A
